I’m SG An.

I am a founder and product lead with a background in industrial design and HCI research. I have founded or co-founded three startups building tools for designers [], knowledge workers [], and researchers [], and published five HCI papers, including at ACM CHI [].

I am currently developing Rhizo [], a local-first hypertext editor for non-linear writing, while exploring hypertext, graph-based interfaces, and human–AI interaction.

“If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail” oddly resonates across my projects, reminding me how deeply the tools in our hands can shape our minds. Better states of mind require better tools.
